As the snow gently blankets the fields of Hiiumaa, it’s the perfect time to reflect on a year that has been nothing short of a whirlwind of growth, exploration, and joy.
Embracing Italian Joys
Our year began with the thrill of downhill skiing in Livigno, Italy, a perfect fusion of our love for sport and the rich Italian culture. This celebration set the pace for a year where every moment was a chance to embrace life’s vibrant colours.
Expanding Horizons
My business journey took a leap in early 2023. The leadership conference in Riga was not just a meeting of minds but a pivotal moment that propelled our venture into remarkable growth. Targeting the Nordics, we saw our community thrive, a testament to the power of vision and collaboration.
Unforgettable Encounters
April took us to Mallorca, where we mingled with global business leaders, absorbing wisdom and inspiration. In May, the Milan Furniture and Design Fair iSaloni sparked our creativity, reminding us that inspiration is everywhere. A significant encounter in Riga in June with a couple from the US left us enriched with new perspectives.
Balancing Work and Leisure
Our summer at the farmhouse in Hiiumaa was a serene interlude, reminding us of the importance of family and the joy in simplicity. Here, amidst nature’s tranquillity, we found balance.
Celebrations and Discoveries
August was a month of celebration and musical enchantment. My wife’s birthday in Nice was complemented by the captivating tunes of Depeche Mode in Tallinn, their album “Memento Mori” a poignant reminder to cherish every moment.
Nurturing Growth and Connections
Our trip to the Veneto region with Palazzo Interior Design colleagues in September and the impactful business conference in Tallinn in October underscored the significance of nurturing relationships and continuous learning.
Embracing Family and Innovation
November brought the joy of grandparenting, coupled with a transformative experience at a digitalisation masterclass. This spurred us to take our interior design studio to new heights, embracing innovation and change.
Cultural Immersion in Prague
December’s journey to Prague was a cultural tapestry, weaving together design, history, and festive joy. Visiting design companies and exploring the city’s museums and Christmas markets, we embraced the richness of different cultures.
A Year of Learning and Health
This year, I dedicated over 284 hours to mentoring startups, engaged extensively with AI technologies, and focused on my health and well-being, a journey marked by regular exercise and mindful living.
Reflection and Looking Ahead
As we prepare for another ski holiday in the Alps, it’s time to dream and set goals for the future. This year has taught us the importance of seizing the day, especially as life accelerates after 50. We’ve learned to value continuous personal growth, choose environments that nurture us, and hold dear the principles of family, loyalty, integrity, trust, and unity.
